Just one month after NVIDIA began pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop to the SHIELD tablet, the graphics card company is continuing its streak of being on the ball with Android OS updates.
NVIDIA is now rolling Android 5.0.1 to the SHIELD tablet. The update comes in the form of “SHIELD tablet software upgrade 2.1” and includes “a few bug fixes and updates,” improvements to app responsiveness, the SHIELD Power Control Menu and more. Here’s NVIDIA’s full changelog:

SHIELD Tablet Software Upgrade 2.1So far we’ve only seen Android 5.0.1 roll out to a few Nexus and Google Play edition devices, so it’s pretty awesome to see the update already making its way to NVIDIA’s SHIELD tablet. Plus, NVIDIA has shown that it’s listening to its users by bringing back the SHIELD Power Control Menu because the community wanted it. Good work, NVIDIA.

Operating System update to Android 5.0.1System performance enhancements
